Starring Cillian Murphy, Peaky Blinders is one of the most popular shows on Netflix. With this amount of popularity fans are asking about when is Peaky Blinders coming with its season 6. It seems like there will be some time before we get to hear the famous words from the show: “By the order of the Peaky Blinders”
What is the release date of Peaky Blinders Season 6?
We can confirm that Peaky Blinders is not on Netflix’s June 2021 release list. It’s sad news for fans and they will need to wait for a bit more to visit Birmingham. Netflix still hasn’t released any information on the release date but we can look at the filming process for an estimated date. As evidenced by the set photos, we can say that filming is not quite finished yet.
Looking into that information, we can guess that earlier we can get Peaky Blinders season 6 looks like either end of 2021 or 2022.
Will season 6 be the last season of Peaky Blinders?
If the date announcement sounds bad, we have more bad news about Peaky Blinders. Earlier this year, Netflix canceled the upcoming seasons. They said that season 6 will be the final season and the story is going to continue in a different form. Creator Steven Knight told that the pandemic changed the plans but his personal plan was always to end the show with a movie and that is the current plan. This remains to be the only information regarding the future of Peaky Blinders.
What to expect from season 6 of Peaky Blinders?
Firstly, most of the fans expect the new season to see how the events will occur after the cliffhanger finish of season 5. Without getting into any spoilers we do expect some major things from season 6. As the director Anthony Byrne mentioned, we’re getting a new female character. A strong and dark female will challenge Tommy in some ways. We can also expect to see events, possibly at the end set during pre World War 2 era.
The cast of Peaky Blinders season 6
We do expect to see some familiar and some new faces in this season. Obviously, we will see Tommy Shelby as the main star of the show, Cillian Murphy. We will also see Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby, Cam Clafin as Oswald Mosley, Finn Cole as Michael Gray, and Harry Kirton as Finn Shelby. After the sad loss of Helen McCrory, we don’t know how will her space is going to fill as Aunt Polly. Charlie Murphy is also not going to be on this season as Jessie Eden. We do expect to see Anya Taylor-Joy as Gina Gray for this season as well. For more information on the cast, everyone needs to stay tuned.
