In an interview for PEOPLE’s annual Oscar portfolio, Emily Blunt met up with her Oppenheimer co-stars, Cillian Murphy, and Robert Downey Jr. to talk about the big night. With all three stars nominated for an Academy Award in different categories, they ended up sharing their plans for the big night. While the actor and the director would be seated with their wives at the event, the mom of two revealed that she was “hoping” to bring her “parents.”
She revealed that her husband, John Krasinski, who has teamed up with Ryan Reynolds for an upcoming film, would also be present. However, it would be a dream come true if Blunt could just get her parents to tag along. Her kids with The Office actor, on the other hand, would be spending the night at home, but the 41-year-old claimed that they “may stay up” and catch the award show. While the couple’s children will not be in attendance, the actress’ reason for wanting her father in the crowd was not what everyone had expected.
The world might think Blunt wants her parents to share her big moment. However, it is actually to make her father have a special day.
