The 2024 Oscars have started to take shape as movement has begun on the red carpet with the 96th Academy Awards social media ambassador and red carpet correspondent, Amelia Dimoldenberg arriving at the scene dressed in pink in a reflection of her mid-2023 Barbie premiere highlights. The 30-year-old YouTube personality opted for a minimal look with a pink gown accentuated by silver linings around the shoulders.

Sporting a deep wavy blonde outlook, and adorned with earrings, a silver bracelet, and a ring as her choice of jewelry, the comedian and presenter posed for the cameras as the couture flew below to gracefully adorn the Oscar red carpet. The deadpan interviewer will then likely move around her familiar territory of interviewing the stars as they enter the Dolby Theatre. Furthermore, with her role as a special correspondent combined with her trademark humor, fun moments could ooze out soon.

Famed for her Chicken Shop Date YouTube series, Dimoldenberg dressed as the 2010 news anchor Barbie doll during the Greta Gerwig flick’s London premiere in July 2023. One of her breakthrough moments happened on that red carpet when, while interviewing Ryan Gosling, she asked for tips on finding a Ken for herself, after which the star re-enacted the charming mannerisms he just described, letting loose a viral playful moment.

Greta Gerwig delivered a box-office hit with Barbie as the fourth-wall-breaking-doll live-action adaptation swept past $1.4 billion. However, much of the acclaim came from the charismatic performance of Ken by Ryan Gosling, a committed showcase of acting by Margot Robbie, and an acclaimed monologue delivered by America Ferrera. All of it combined and worked in tandem to land Barbie with a total of eight nominations, including Best Picture, at the 2024 Oscars.

To win, however, it stands against the likes of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, for which his fandom has already pinned high hopes. Furthermore, despite a Best Actress and Best Director ‘snub’ for Robbie and Gerwig, respectively, the movie will have its presence felt at all quarters this evening starting from Gosling’s performance of ‘I’m Just Ken’ to potential wins coming in its favor.
