Tyler Perry Reacts to Parody Posters of Netflix Shows Bridgerton and the Crown Reimagined for Madea

It’s time to say “hallelujur” because Madea is back. After Tyler Perry’s serious film Don’t Look Up on Netflix about earth’s destruction, he is back with a film, A Madea Homecoming, which makes everybody laugh.

Looking at the serious situation of the pandemic, Perry brings back America’s favorite grandmother, Madea, after retiring. She is still the coolest grandmother of America, who doesn’t care about the law or her bra. After the release of the film, Kelly Clarkson invited Tyler Perry to the show to talk about his experience with the film, A Madea Homecoming.

A Madea Homecoming is a 2022 American comedy film produced, written, and directed by Tyler Perry, starring Cassi Davis-Patton, David Mann, Tamela Mann, Gabrielle Dennis, Brendan O’Carroll, and Tyler Perry himself. The film develops around Madea, who is throwing a graduation party for her great-grandson. But little did she know, some family secrets will emerge at the party.

So, let’s see what Perry has to say about the film and what Madea is bringing this time to our screen.

Tyler Perry Speaks On A Madea Homecoming (Netflix)

On February 26th, 2022, Kelly Clarkson invited Tyler Perry to her show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and upload the show on YouTube. They captioned the video as, “Tyler Perry brings out his Madea voice while dishing on his new Netflix film “A Madea Homecoming,” and reacts to some of his hilarious Madea parody posters.” Here Perry talks about his experience as Madea, why the film is important to him.

In a conversation with Variety, Perry claims, “I was done with Madea, completely done with it… But as I’ve been looking at the state of the world — and I finished a tour in January, just before the pandemic broke in the country — and the amount of joy and laughter that it brought to so many people, that’s what I think is missing. We need that laughter and that joy.”

But this time, the film has a beautiful message, for the world about the LGBTQ community. In the film, a gay character comes out to his black family, and how they are embracing and loving him. Tyler uses a powerful tool to convey another powerful message to his audience. Because when the audience laughs, they are already a part of the character. You just get one life, and life is short. So, live the way you like.

To double the fun of Madea, Tyler even makes some parody posters of some famous Netflix shows like Bridgerton, Crown, and Adele.
