Tick, Tick… Boom! has certainly received all the love from fans this year. Bringing to life the legacy of Jonathan Larson, the movie has also shown just how critically acclaimed it is as the nominations for the 2022 Oscar Awards roll out. Being nominated for the Best Actor award, Andrew Garfield wrote a personal note to The Academy, expressing his gratitude to everyone that made the film what it is. He also mentioned Jonathan Larson’s legacy and how Tick, Tick… Boom! and the recognition he and the movie are receiving will keep the American prodigy’s songs alive. We all know very well how Andrew Garfield isn’t a newcomer to the acting industry, nor is this his first time making a mark at the Academy Awards. The character Garfield plays in Hacksaw Ridge, Desmond Doss, received a Medal of Honour for service above and beyond the call of duty. For his portrayal of the same, Andrew received endless critical acclaim and a nomination in the category of Best Actor at the 89th Academy Awards.

As for his performance in Tick, Tick… Boom!, Garfield has taken home the Golden Globe award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture- Musical or Comedy. He has also been nominated for the Outstanding Leading Actor in a Motion Picture at the Screen Guild Awards. The verdict for the same is pending, just like the Oscars.
