What’s New to Netflix This Week (May 24th – May 30th, 2021)

Here’s a list of the movies and series that will be on Netflix this week from May 24th to May 30th, 2021. It’s going to be a great week for Netflix originals.

Netflix is getting ready to release some more new content as we approach the end of May. The works that Netflix will release in the last week of the month include many original series. There are also some drama movies, thrillers, some foreign language content, and a highly anticipated series. The second part of Lucifer’s fifth season is going to be on the popular streaming platform this week, wrapping up the season. We’re also going to see Netflix release the second season of Ragnarok this week.

May 24th

  • Mad for Each Other (Season 1) (Netflix Original) – Korean romantic comedy series about two neighbors having trouble standing each other.

May 25th

  • A Place in the Stars (2014) – Nigerian thriller movie directed by Steve Gukas.
  • Home (2015) – Animated science-fiction and comedy movie on an alien race that invades our planet. Featuring the voices of Rihanna and Jim Parsons, directed by Tim Johnson.

May 26th

  • Gatao – The Last Stray – Asian action drama.
  • Ghost Lab (2021) (Netflix Original) – After witnessing a haunting in their hospital, two doctors become obsessed with obtaining scientific proof that ghosts are real.
  • American Woman (2019) – A woman raises her young grandson after her daughter goes missing.
  • Nail Bomber: Manhunt (2021) (Netflix Original) – A documentary about the atrocious Nail Bomber.
  • Baggio: The Divine Ponytail (2021) (Netflix Original) – Italian biopic movie on soccer player Roberto Baggio. Directed by Letizia Lamartire.
  • JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (Season 3) – The story of the Joestar family, who have intense psychic strength, and the adventures each member encounters over the course of their lives. The next season of the popular anime series.
  • High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America (Limited Series) (Netflix Original) – Afro-American food & culture docu-series starring chef and writer Stephen Satterfield.

May 27th

  • Black Space (Season 1) (Netflix Original) – Israeli thriller series.
  • Eden (Season 1) (Netflix Original) – Anime series set thousands of years in the future where two robots are the caregivers of a young girl.
  • Ragnarok (Season 2) (Netflix Original) – Popular Nordic series returns with its second season.
  • Soy Rada: Serendipity (2021) (Netflix Original) – Spanish-language comedy show starring Mago Radagast.
  • Blue Miracle (2021) (Netflix Original) – To save their cash-strapped orphanage, a guardian and his kids partner with a washed-up boat captain for a chance to win a lucrative fishing competition. Mexican biopic based on a true story.

May 28th

  • The Kominsky Method (Season 3) (Netflix Original) – The last season of the series about a retired actor, who becomes a coach.
  • Lucifer (Season 5 Part 2) (Netflix Original) – The highly anticipated second half of the fifth season of Lucifer.
  • Collateral Beauty (2016) – Will Smith, Edward Norton, and Kate Winslet headline this romance movie. Directed by David Frankel.
  • Dog Gone Trouble (2021) (Netflix Original) – The animated story of a pampered dog named Trouble. Voices by Big Sean, Pamela Adlon, and Lucy Hale.
  • The Least Expected Day: Inside the Movistar Team 2019 (Season 2) – The second part of the cycling documentary series.

May 29th

  • One Lagos Night (2021) – Nigerian comedy movie directed by Ekene Som Mekwunye.
  • Jeopardy! (New Collections) – More episodes of the long-lasting ABC game show joining Netflix.

May 30th

  • Bo Burnham: Inside (2021) (Netflix Original) – A new comedy special from Bo Burnham.
