Twitter Calls Out Meghan Markle for ‘hypocrisy’ as Old Video of Women Curtsying Her Goes Viral
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have triggered a lot of crown loyalists and royal servants with the first volume of their docuseries Harry & Meghan. The first three episodes of the Netflix show did not capture the Duke and Duchess saying much about their relationship with senior royal members. They focused on highlighting the brutalities of the media. However, there were some moments in the docuseries which put Meghan Markle under fire.

In the second episode of the series, Markle described her first meeting with the late Queen Elizabeth II. Talking about the events from 2016, the Duchess behaved a little goofily as she made fun of the curtsying tradition. In the video, Markle revealed that she felt weird when Prince Harry told her about the curtsy. However, her mockery of the protocol did not go well with many people in the United Kingdom. What has made the trolling worse for the former American actress is an old video from her first royal tour where she can be seen accepting curtsy from the local people.
Twitter users slam Meghan Markle
The viral video is from 2018 when Meghan Markle traveled to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand with Prince Harry for her first royal tour. In an engagement on the second day of their visit to Fiji, a lot of local women gathered around the Duchess. To show their respect, the women curtsied to Markle. In the video, the former actress seemed happy, and she made no attempt to stop the locals from curtsying her.
However, the royal fans did not look happy with the resurfaced clip. They brutally criticized Meghan Markle for accepting the curtsy. The royal fans are of the opinion that the Duchess should have refrained from the tradition during her time as a working royal as she felt weird curtsying to the Queen.

Notably, in the docuseries, Markle compared the royal tradition with the one shown in the theatre Medieval Times, Dinner and Tournament. Moreover, what triggered the most fans was the way she enacted the protocol in the Netflix show. The 41-year-old dramatically spread her hands while bowing down to depict what she initially thought curtsying was.
