Netflix shared a trailer for its Bob Ross documentary coming later in August, but the trailer certainly does not show us much.

Bob Ross was a legendary person who got a lot of people into painting with his programs. His soothing voice and easygoing personality attracted many young people. He was the source of inspiration for many good people in our generation. As a result, he’s gathered a huge international fan base being a wholesome personality. Many fans still want to watch some content about this good-natured painter, so Netflix will give us a documentary on Bob Ross.

However, the documentary does not seem like it’ll be as wholesome as the programs of Bob Ross. We’re used to watching him paint some natural landscapes, but it’ll not be the case this time. Fame brings money, and money brings conflict. The documentary will focus on the battle over his successful business empire, as we can understand from the title, Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed. Yeah, we’re sure that betrayal and greed were not part of The Joy of Painting. Nevertheless, it was a part of the life of Bob Ross, who was inevitably in talks with big TV companies handling a lot of money. So, instead of watching the good and wholesome, we’ll now see the dark side of the actual product.

Here’s what Netflix says about the Bob Ross documentary. Even though many fans are anxious as they think Netflix will turn Bob Ross into a villain, it’s probably the other way around.

The documentary will be an hour and 32 minutes long.

The director of Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed is Joshua Rofe. He previously directed a 3-part Hulu docuseries titled Sasquatch, which is about a journalist who investigates a murder that’s said to be committed by a mythical creature.

Netflix Studios and Number 19 are the production companies behind this documentary.

Usually, trailer videos show us some important content from the actual thing. We learn many important things without being spoiled. This time, Netflix chose to do it in a different way, as there’s virtually nothing on the trailer.

“We want to the show the trailer for Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed, but we can’t,” they say on the trailer. “Find out why on August 25.” And, the trailer comes to a close.

Thus we learn the release date of this documentary. The trailer makes us wonder why it’s so cryptic as it’s not very usual. Well, it seems like we’re going to learn why it’s like that when Netflix releases the documentary on August 25th, 2021.
