The Witcher franchise, for all its fault, seems to be doing something right. While the series may be neck deep in the sea of skepticism as Henry Cavill leaves the show, it is important to note why the actor or the fandom became a part of the series in the first place. And it all boils down to Andrzej Sapkowski’s masterfully written book. The very book that thought of having a massive group with violent teenagers who haven’t heard, or felt for that matter, mercy, which is also The Witcher’s spinoff titled The Rats, featuring Dolph Lundgren.

The Witcher series is one of the most expensive to be ever created became clear as Henry Cavill joined the cast. However, it did not really sink in until action maestro Dolph Lundgren said that he would be a part of the prequel. But what exactly will he be playing in a prequel, perhaps the most notorious teenage gang?

As season 3 of The Witcher is adapting Time of Contempt, arguably one of the most controversial books centered on the Continent, The Rats have taken the town by storm. And so far, Christelle Elwin already has his name attached to Mistle. Therefore, fans were confused about what character the Rocky star would be playing. And as per the Redanian Intelligence, the map seems to be pointing towards the Cat of Iello, Brehen, the rogue Witcher.

The Swedish actor taking on the role of Brehen comes as a shock to fans who were expecting him to play Leo Bonhart. Especially because Bonhart crosses paths with Ciri at several points during the book, making it possible for him to enter The Witcher Season 3. However, that does not seem to be the case.

With The Witcher Season 3 not even having an official trailer to its name, one can only guess how dedicated the team is to keep things under wraps. Therefore, for its spin-off, not a lot is known apart from the fact that the shooting is taking place in South Africa and Dolph Lundgren is portraying Brehen.

If the spin-off rights the wrong by following the book, then Brehen and Geralt are not set out for many encounters with each other. However, the times that they do come to meet are intense and end at the brink of a catastrophic duel owing to Brehen’s vogue nature. While one can remain hopeful of a Henry Cavill cameo in The Rats, it will probably be one made by Liam Hemsworth, who is set to reprise the role of Geralt. Fans are hopeful to see what new faces The Rats bring.
