Netflix Outshines Itself With Historic 44 Emmy Wins: The Crown and the Queen’s Gambit Raked Big

A hearty congratulation to all the Netflix fans, Netflix has own most number of Emmys than ever. It has doubled the number of awards from 2020 and outdone itself. Netflix claimed its first position among all the TV platforms at the 73rd Emmy Award ceremony on 20th September.

HBO became the first runner-up, followed by Disney Plus and Apple TV. Netflix has set a record to win the most number Emmys since CBS in 1974. Netflix has in total won 44 awards.HBO/ HBO Max has won 19 awards followed by 14 Emmys for Disney Plus, Apple TV won 10 Emmys, NBC won 8 Emmys, and VH1 won 6 Emmys. But, CBS has lost its charm and it will take some time to grow after re-branding. CBS has won only one Emmy.

The fourth season of ‘The Crown’ has itself win 11 Emmys and ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ has also bagged 11 Emmys including best limited and anthology series.’The Crown’ and ‘The Queen Gambit’ of Netflix have outdone themselves. ‘The Crown’ and ‘The Mandalorian’ have been nominated 24 times each followed by ‘Wanda Vision’ who has been nominated 23 times, followed by ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ and ‘Saturday Live’ at 21, followed by ‘Ted Lasso’ at 21. ‘Saturday Live Night’ has won eight Emmys. Two series- Disney plus’s ‘The Mandalorian won seven Emmys’ and Apple’s TV’s ‘Ted Lasso’.
