<p>After the announcement of the exit of their favorite Witcher, Henry Cavill, the whole fandom is sad. However, the streaming giant is coming up with <strong>a live-action spin-off</strong> of <em>The Witcher</em> before the 4th season arrives. While fans are waiting to see Cavill as Witcher for the last time in season 3, <strong>they reacted against the spin-off.</strong></p>

<p>Season 3 of <em>The Witcher</em> is in the post-production stage and will be released in the <strong>summer of 2023.</strong> Season 3 will see Ciri&#8217;s association with a group of young Nilfgaardian misfits called <strong>The Rats.</strong> Now a new spin-off might primarily focus on The Rats. But because <a href="http://netflixjunkie.com/tag/henry-cavill/">Henry Cavill</a> left the show, this prequel doesn&#8217;t really excite fans.</p>

<h2>Post-Henry Cavill exit, The Witcher fans are against the spin-off</h2>
<p>If you&#8217;ve read the book, you would know <strong>Cirilla</strong> spends a period with The Rats, whom we might see in season 4 of the show as well. However, there is uncertainty about the spin-off being made about The Rats. But before <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/netflix-news-henry-cavill-sends-out-a-symbolic-medallion-for-the-witcher-family-as-season-3-enters-post-production/">season 3</a> and season 4, Netflix is planning to land this prequel, which shows there<strong> might be the origin story of The Rats.</strong> Therefore, to call it a prequel or not, that is the question.</p>

But<strong> <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/netflix-original-is-yennefer-sad-about-geralt-being-replaced-fans-extrapolate-their-emotions-on-anya-chalotra-as-henry-cavill-quits-the-witcher/">fans</a> are not excited</strong> about it because of the exit of their favorite Witcher.</p>
<h2>Fans think it is a waste of time</h2>
<p>Although there might be some readers who would like to see the spin-off, the majority of fans are not interested as they won&#8217;t see<strong> Geralt of Rivia</strong> the same again.
