Netflix‘s new crime drama series, Who Killed Sara? has just released and already loaded so far. And just the day after its season 1 premiere, the streaming platform has also confirmed that the second season of Spanish mystery is renewed.

Everyone knows that Netflix usually prefers to wait at least a few weeks before it handles out a renewal for a series to see its performance and critics among viewers first. But it seems the beloved streaming platform has made an exception for Who Killed Sara this time, which is really rare. The series is directed by Carlos Bolado, Poncho Pineda, and David “Leche” Ruiz and written by José Ignacio Valenzuela. Juan Uruchurtu produces for Perro Azul.

The series follows a man named Alex Guzmán, who has spent his 18 years in prison for a murder crime of his sister that he didn’t commit. So, he spends his 18 years of unjust imprisonment by making the perfect plan to discover who killed his sister, Sara, and why he had been blamed for it. But even the plan of his is excellent, there are still things he overlooked such as the danger of searching for evidence and falling in love with the wrong person in the meantime. It will be much more dangerous to go through with his plan as he confronts those dangers and secrets along the way, more than he could ever imagine. And when he manages to discover who killed Sara, he will wish he had never started to search for it anyway.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“Alex, a man convicted of a crime he did not commit, is released after 18 years behind bars. Upon leaving, he only wants revenge on Rodolfo Lazcano, the person responsible for the death for which he was sentenced. Things get complicated when Alex starts a sentimental relationship with Elisa, the Lazcano’s youngest daughter, and when he discovers that Rodolfo is innocent and that someone else, who has skillfully kept in the shadows, was the true cause of his disgrace.”

The series cast stars Manolo Cardona, Carolina Miranda, Ginés García Millán, Claudia Ramírez, Eugenio Siller and Alejandro Nones. It also includes Matías Novoa, Daniel Giménez Cacho and Antonio de la Vega joining among the cast of the series.

And Who Killed Sara? will also include those names that are confirmed so far: Ximena Lamadrid, Leo Deluglio, Andrés Baida, Ana Sofía Domínguez, Polo Morín, Luis Roberto Guzmán, Fátima Molina, Ela Velden, Matías Novoa, Daniel Giménez Cacho, Antonio de la Vega and Litzy Domínguez among others.

We said earlier that the streaming platform has already confirmed the Spanish mystery drama series’s second season renewal. And it seems Who Killed Sara? is scheduled to premiere on May 19 on Netflix.
