Movies have always been seen as a way to escape the mundane routine of reality. Especially Zack Snyder films that captivate the audience in a whole new world for hours together. From his Justice League to his 2009 Watchmen, he has always given fans his best efforts and detailed films. While the world-renowned director is known for his excruciatingly long movies, his latest one might not be going down the same path.

Tudum (via The Direct) has recently revealed that Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon had been cut down to a run time of 2 hours and 13 minutes. This came after news that the film would be split into two parts. Part one has been titled, A Child of Fire, which will make its way to Netflix on December 22, 2023. Whereas the second part, The Scargiver is set to release in April 2024.

Earlier this year, the director announced that the film would be getting one of his famous Snyder Cuts after news broke that the run time for the film would be shortened. He even promised his fans “an hour of extra content,” meaning the cut could be over 3 hours long. However, all of this came out months after rumors that Rebel Moon was connected to Star Wars.

While fans were looking forward to 3 hours of Charlie Hunnam, Sofia Boutella, and the rest of the cast, they seemed to be unfazed by Netflix’s latest Rebel Moon update. However, most fans are mainly holding out hope for an extended director’s cut.

Rebel Moon’s shortened run time leaves fans unmoved

Although Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon ended up falling short of the three-hour mark, fans of the director are more focused on his plans for an extended version. In fact, after the news of the shorter run time broke, netizens took to social media to share how they felt about the whole thing.
