The Internet is a raging fire pit and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle often find themselves at the center. Their actions serve as fuel to the fire and their statements are the very flame that ignites it. But despite the fact, a survey taken after the release of Prince Harry’s memoir pointed to the contrary. This again sparked another nationwide debate about whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are losing their relevance. There are many ways to prove this wrong. And celebrated animated sitcom, South Park, dedicating an episode to them is one.

The show ridiculing them is far from being a sign of their dwindling relevance. It could be, however, a sign of their dwindling credibility, and that too is highly arguable. Moreover, it is impossible to believe that the Sussexes are losing their popularity when they are the subject of every Good Morning Britain discussion.
Fans are done with Good Morning Britain’s Prince Harry and Meghan Markle coverage
The hosts of Good Morning Britain, including Ranvir Singh, Jacqui Smith, Iain Dale, and Jack Royston woke up, got dressed, arrived at the set, and for the nth time in a row, started discussing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This time, the panel was discussing the South Park episode. The hosts shared their ranging opinions from how it was “hard to watch” to “still think that was funny.” They further drew a comparison to how celebrities on The Simpsons are celebrated while those on other sitcoms are ridiculed.
Viewers of the program who tuned in during early morning hours to hear the news that would prove to be meaningful in their daily lives were left vexed. They took to Twitter to call out the show for being obsessed with the California-based royals.
The viewers were mostly upset with Good Morning Britain as it is a program meant to deliver the right set of news to help the viewers get started with their day. And talking about an animated sitcom’s jibe at celebrities is not one of them.

The obsession, as fans remarked, of Good Morning Britain with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is just a drop in the sea of the massive coverage that Markle and Prince Harry receive. The couple cited privacy as one of the top reasons for dropping out of the royal institution. And three years later, they are far from achieving it.

While the couple taking on projects to tell their own narrative can be blamed, a look back at the harsh coverage long before they released their own statements will prove otherwise.
