As reported by What's On Netflix, the whereabouts of the upcoming Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, The Electric State movie have clearly indicated that the filming has taken another setback. Dropping off from this year's roster list, the movie named has been pushed further back to 2025. Although the report suggests that the filming was concluded back in 2023, reshoots for the $200 million movie have not been wrapped up yet.
Best known for their most celebrated works like Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War, the dynamic duo, Russo Brothers, are behind this Millie Bobby Brown project. Not only are they directing, but are also behind the production company AGBO. The masterminds are vested with three more simultaneous projects for Netflix, Extraction 3, Past Midnight, and The Gray Man 2.

The book by Simon Stålenhag that The Electric State is based on was first released in the year 2017. It was in the same year that the Russo Brothers bagged the timing right for its filming starring one of its staples and a Hollywood A-Lister. However, it first went to Universal Studios before landing with the American streamer. As it eyed for a theatrical release, Netflix took over the project in 2022, thus adding another Millie Bobby Brown project to its shelf.
Although it does not have a release date at the moment, the movie is at least set to land on our screens in 2025. The news of the delay comes amidst fans being already impatient for their much-beloved franchise’s final strike, Stranger Things. Having been pushed back for the writer's strike back in 2023, season 6 of the Netflix blockbuster is also set for a 2025 release. This means that 2025 might see not one but two releases for Brown.
