After a tedious 2 years wait in between XO, Kitty’s two seasons, fans barely took hours to complete the second installment with a binge session. Although it already carried a two-year wait following the first announcement, fans cannot help but wonder if the trajectory will also dominate the third installment. Since the recently released season ended on a very familiar cliffhanger, the speculation has been skyrocketing over what its future holds.

For those wondering if the what-ifs would be solved with a third season, here is the scoop.

Netflix has yet to announce a confirmed third season for the beloved show, XO, Kitty. However, the lead actor, Anna Cathcart, recently spoke with Deadline to give fans an overview of where her character could go if a third season unfolds. “I would love to see Kitty continuing to explore who she is and figure out what that means to her,” Cathcart said, highlighting Kitty’s visible struggles of trying to be herself and follow her heart without the chaos that ensues.

Cathcart stresses Kitty as a character who is largely relevant. Since she is underway figuring it all out, the drama has become a shared piece of experience for viewers worldwide. Although Cathcart hopes Kitty never lets go of her “big heart,” Anthony Keyvan wants a bit of that Kitty-ness in his character. Characteristically, Q is always very confident, but Keyvan thinks it would be “cool to see him falter.” While both Cathcart and Keyvan are pining for the “reversal at one point,” it can only materialize if and only when a season 3 follows in tow.

XO, Kitty came just in time for the Cupid season, and with it returned, the entire main cast from season 1. Thus, if the show gets greenlit for a third installment, it is safe to assume the same would apply if further additions do not disrupt the forecast. The main cast of XO, Kitty includes Anna Cathcart, Minyeong Choi, Anthony Keyvan, Gia Kim, and Sang Heon Lee. Season 2 included cameos from Noah Centineo and Janel Parrish.

Additional cast comprises Regan Aliyah, Jocelyn Shelfo, Peter Thurnwald, Ryu Hanbi, Audrey Huynh, Sasha Bhasin and Joshua Lee, among others. Moreover, THE BOYZ’ Kevin Moon recently sent out an open letter to Netflix, expressing his interest in joining as MinHo’s brother in season 3. Hence, until Netflix drops the official season 3 announcement with its cast, it is better to expect the unexpected.
