Since DC decided to get out of its echo chamber to embark on a new season, Zack Snyder has had the bittersweet opportunity to carry on his own. As if paralleling one another, both the parties of this cinematic divorce have taken to curating projects that could not have been any more reflective of their individual styles. This is how Rebel Moon found itself drenched in gritty intensity, visual brilliance, and Top 10 charts.

Escaping from one echo chamber, however, does not guarantee not getting into another one soon after. And this could not be truer in the case of Zack Sndyder's Rebel Moon saga.

After garnering divided reception for Rebel Moon, Zack Snyder pushed the belts a bit too far with Rebel Moon: Part Two- The Scargiver. The flick failed to meet the standards of the ever-so-appreciative science fiction fanatics who unsurprisingly are also Snyder stans. Now, three weeks later, part two of Rebel Moon has fallen off Netflix's Top 10 in half the time of its predecessor (via Netflix's Top 10 site).

Back when the director had announced that he would be coming to Netflix with not one but several flicks, all with Rebel Moon at their nucleus, the fan support was unabashed. Fans seem to have replicated the same unhinged outcry following part two's release, but this time not in its favor.

Given that the first movie held its ground for more than six weeks on the Netflix Top 10, and the second movie pulled through for three weeks, the question remains, if the third Rebel Moon movie will make the cut at all. 

Despite the lackluster reception of the second movie, owing to the claim of the series having allegedly six movies, audiences remain on their toes for a third bomb. However, Netflix has not confirmed Rebel Moon part three as of now. On the country, Zack Snyder has made several statements to various publications, including Forbes, confirming that it is in the making. 

While no official news has come out regarding this, it is possible that if the movie does not meet Netflix's standards, Zack Snyder will have to take it elsewhere. This will, however, be the last resort, as despite the backlash, the series remains a decent Netflix exclusive in the science fiction genre.
