With ‘The Witcher’ Season 3 Volume 2 Closing in, Jaskier Gets the Recognition for His Sacrifices for Ciri and Geralt
Fans are now gearing up to binge-watch the final ride of Henry Cavill on The Witcher. Season 3 Volume 1 left people with several burning questions and they are only days away from unveiling the final clash. The new trailer has already given us some glimpses that the path the characters have chosen is not going to make things easier. Instead, it will crush them, but this family will do everything in their power to protect each other. In the meantime, the team has brought the attention of worldwide viewers toward Jaskier, who has stood strong this whole time.
For three seasons, Jaskier has entertained and protected the leading characters with his beautiful voice and inner contacts. Or one can say that he has been the only light bringer on this show full of gloomy clouds. So The Witcher recently gave a shout-out to his courageous spirit by making a collage.

The first half showed clips of a scene from season 2 episode 5 where Rience captured him to get information out of him. In this, the sorcerer took his hand and burnt one of his fingers. Then the second half of the post showcased a scene from season 3 episode 1, where the bard bitterly recalled that moment rubbing his finger. This post has come only days after the team looked back at some adorable scenes of season 3.
It was indeed one of the most hurtful and proud scenes at the same time, considering Jaskier did not let his tough slip even after being brutally tortured. This character has indeed grown much since fans first saw his bubbly side in season 1 and the portrayer agrees.
The Witcher star talks about the growth of Jaskier

Last month, Joey Batey sat down with Digital Spy for the Rainbow Crew interview which celebrates the LGBTQ+ depiction on-screen. During the conversation, he shed some light on the journey of his character over the course of three seasons. The actor stated that at the beginning Jaskier was just a flirtatious and teasing bard viewers got to meet.
His humor was indeed a sigh of relief for all amidst all the monster hunting and build-up of the complete story. However, the character has become more complex and season 3 depicts more of his intelligent side. He is making decisions in order to save his newfound family from impending doom.
