Apart from giving fans a Monkey D. Luffy, they will never forget how Netflix decided to take fans along with them to see the beginning of the journey. In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the series’ official Netflix page shared a picture of the season 2 writers. The post also shared the same excitement that fans have for the upcoming second season of One Piece.

It gave fans a peek at where the magic happens, the writer’s room. In fact, the picture even showcased some of the writers who had worked hard to make the first season of the live adaptation anime an epic success. The post came days after the WGA strike ended and the writers were able to go back to work. However, even with the strike over, fans will have to wait till 2025 before they get to see the next season.

Back in August, the anime world was shaken by Netflix’s One Piece live adaptation. After a streak of miserable, failing anime adaptations, the streaming giant seemed to get one right. It was taken from the manga and anime series of the same name by the creator, Eiichiro Oda. While even he was uncertain about the streamer’s plan for the series, he changed his mind after it was added to the library.

One Piece even shattered many Netflix records and managed to hold its spot on the Global Top 10 for weeks. Thankfully, the streamer chose to stay true to the story’s original storyline and even added a few easter eggs for future seasons. With the first eight-episode release in the back of everyone’s minds, fans can only hope that the second season might be even greater.
