Unlike his other projects, Green Lantern was not as successful and popular. The movie received mixed reviews from the audience and was a commercial flop. And recently, the new boss of DC Extended Universe James Gunn shed some light on whether the audience will get a sequel to Green Lantern.

James Gunn sheds some light on Ryan Reynolds starrer Green Lantern
Over the past few months, the DC Extended Universe has been going through some major shift within the franchise. One of the most significant change in DC took place on November 2 when Peter Safran and James Gunn took over as the co-CEO’s of the franchise. And recently the Suicide Squad director took to Twitter to celebrate the 44th anniversary of Richard Donner’s Superman. However, the director ended up answering a lot of fan questions in the comments.

When one user asked if bringing Reynolds back as Hal Jordan a.k.a. Green Lantern would be possible, Gunn had a few things to say. Gunn was quick to dismiss the rumors as he tweeted, “That’s not a priority for me and even much less of one for @VancityReynolds.” Another user wrote how Ryan would have returned for Zack Snyder, to which Gunn immediately responded, “He wasn’t.”

As of late, Gunn following the recent rebooting process, a lot of fans have expressed their disappointment against James Gunn, storming Twitter with “Fire James Gunn.”
