It might be too early to say if One Piece will be renewed for season 2 or not. Considering the pirate story has just arrived on the streamer, they are yet to make this decision. So the viewership and fan demand will only tell if Netflix will set sail for another season of the series or not. Also, to bring this manga series to life, the creators had to shell out around $18 million per episode.
If there is a second installment, the production will take at least $150 million USD. This means the debut season needs to be massively successful for the streaming giant to let it happen. The success of a series combines viewership hours, total views, and the number of people who watched all episodes.
As of now, the future of the show lies in viewers’ hands whether they want to dive deeper into this iconic tale of newcomer pirate Monkey D. Luffy. Meanwhile, there is still a huge chance people get another season of this legendary series tells the excitement of the director.
