Netflix’s most popular Spanish crime series, Money Heist, returned with a bang on September 3, 2021. However, only five episodes premiered in the first volume of Season 5. Fans binged all of them at once. Hence, now they are left with nothing but to wait for more to come and speculate about what could be next.

Money Heist: Season 5 Volume 1

The gang has been in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. Somehow, they rescued Lisbon, but lost one of their own as Sierra captured the Professor. For the first time, he doesn’t have an escape plan. Hence, the group is grasping at straws. Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, a much more powerful enemy comes on the scene: the army.

The war has begun, and the end of the greatest heist in history is approaching. The first part ended on a hair-raising cliffhanger.

The second volume of the fifth season will stream exactly three months after its first volume release, i.e., on December 3, 2021. We can expect the emotional situations of the characters to be in focus for the finale.

Will there be a Season 6 of Money Heist?

From the plot that season 5 has followed so far, it appears the Spanish show still has a lot to offer. But unfortunately, volume 2 of the latest season will be the end of it. Netflix had announced that Money Heist Season 5 would be the last season of the show.

Will Money Heist have a Spinoff

Spin-offs are possible considering the audience’s interest in knowing more about each individual character. In a chat with Oprah Magazine, creator Alex Pina hinted at certain spin-off shows. He said, “I think Arturito could have a black comedy. Berlin’s case for his own show is very clear – he’s a misogynist, a psychopath, egocentric, a narcissist, a delinquent, a rapist… but still there are lots of people who adore him, because he values friendship, loyalty or fraternity… Denver is yet another character with his own charm. I would love to write all of them as spinoffs!”

Isn’t that exciting! A spinoff is more than welcome as the cherished show ends. But as far as Money Heist is concerned, season 5.2 will be the end. Bella Ciao!
