For over three decades, Will Smith has ruled over the hearts of his fans. The Academy Award-winning actor has a resume that many wish for. But little to people’s knowledge, Will got his rise to fame through his illustrious rapping career. And like many other musicians in the 80s and 90s will, too, wanted to meet the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. But sadly, the I am Legend actor got only one meeting with the legendary singer.

Who would not want a chance to meet their idols? After all, they were the primary source of inspiration to all of us. But for Will, his opportunity to meet the Gloved One was short and brief. But nevertheless, Will and Michael’s only meeting is as historic as both of their careers.

The Fresh Prince was forced into a closet by Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight at the BET Awards, where he eventually met the late King of pop, Michael Jackson, for the first and last time. Before giving up his trophy, Will Smith was about to go up to Michael Jackson when Suge Knight entered the room and caused an altercation. People were running to hide from the co-founder of Death Row when Will was placed in a utility closet.

According to the rapper-turned-actor, when Michale called out his name, he was shocked and surprised to see him there. Michael began the conversation by asking Will what had happened, and when Will explained the scenario to him, Michael replied by saying, “Suge’s always trippin’, All that success, and he can’t figure out how to be happy.”

Apparently, the two talked about comic books, but Will Smith regrets that he did not ask other questions, such as, “What’s the glove made of? What’s your brother Tito like? Can you Moonwalk forward? Is Annie OK?”

Even though the two immensely popular artists met only once in their life, they also shared the screen (technically) once. In the 2002 sequel to Men In Black, Michael Jackson makes a short cameo where he plays a version of himself in the movie, trying to convince Agent Z to give him a job in the secret agency.
