Will Ozark season 4 part 2 pave way for Julia Garner to achieve THIS feat and match Nancy Marchand’s record

Will Ozark season 4 part 2 pave way for Julia Garner to achieve THIS feat and match Nancy Marchand’s record

After the release of Inventing Anna and the final season of Ozark, fans cannot stop talking about the acting powerhouse that Julia Garner is. The two-time Emmy award winner has already made quite the mark, being a part of two very successful Netflix Originals. But, Garner might break a record and make history this time at the Emmy awards. Here’s all you need to know:

The tragedy of Ruth Langmore- why fans love this character so much

Julia Garner has been a part of the acting industry since she was a 17-year-old, from the year 2011. She has worked in popular projects such as The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Americans, but her breakout role was that of Ruth Langmore in Ozark.

Growing up in a world of crime in the Ozarks, Ruth is an ambitious young woman. While she did not have the power and luxury that we see other characters in the show possess, she certainly had the smarts. Ruth is quick and certainly knows how to navigate the world, as is evident from her growth. She goes from petty stealing, ironically, from the Byrdes, to becoming one of the most indispensable characters of the Netflix series.

Julia Garner and her streak at the Emmy awards

This character from the Netflix Original might be extremely badass, but there are hints of tragedy in the same. Throughout the course of her life, Ruth did not have anyone to look out for her. Her father and uncles certainly did no great job at parenting, as Ruth learned to navigate on her own.

Julia Garner plays this role to perfection. She brought the tragedy and anger that Ruth possesses to life in a way no one else could have. For the same, Garner was nominated twice for the Emmy awards in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and has won twice. Her first win was for her performance in the episode “The Gold Coast” in season 2 and her second was for the episode “In Case of Emergency” in season 3.

After season 3 of the Netflix series is panning out, fans are in awe of her performance in the episode “Sanctified”. If the actress wins the Emmy award for this episode, which seems highly likely, she would tie with Nancy Marchand’s record (from Lou Grant) for the most consecutive Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series wins.
