Fans and critics alike consider “How I Met Your Mother” one of the best sitcoms ever. Nowadays, almost every other movie/series is getting a reboot because of its popularity. Thus, the early 2005 sitcom was always in the race for redemption after its somewhat dull ending. Since the trailer release of “How I Met Your Father” fans are wondering if the new reboot will release on Netflix?

“How I Met Your Father” brings us the female perspective of the hit sitcom. The sitcom is not a follow-up to the original story like “Cobra Kai“, but fans can expect gags similar to or inspired by the original. So, let us find out if “How I Met Your Father” will premiere on Netflix.

Will “How I Met Your Father” premiere on Netflix?

Unfortunately, Netflix subscribers will have to burn some cash or will have to find someone who has a Hulu subscription. Thus, viewers with a Hulu subscription are in luck as the sitcom will release on Hulu.

Hulu has confirmed the 10-episode season will premiere on January 18, 2022. People who wish to watch the sitcom have enough time to get a subscription starting from $6.99 per month.

The cast and synopsis of the sitcom

Hulu gave a synopsis for the show in its YouTube description that read:

“In the near future, Sophie (Hilary Duff) is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the year 2022 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options. How I Met Your Father premieres on Hulu on January 18, 2022.”

The lead cast that will feature in “How I Met Your Father” is as follows:

Fans can expect guest appearances from the stars of the original show. After multiple failed attempts, the sitcom will finally come to the audience. However, it remains to be seen if the sitcom can join the list of successful reboots.
