Will Cowboy Bebop Live-Action Have a Season 2 on Netflix?

Cowboy Bebop is receiving hate, love, shock, and every other type of comment. The show might not have chosen the traditional path, but it has definitely sparked curiosity among the viewers. Mostly the anime fans are expressing their dissatisfaction with the live-action series. But, even these fans won’t completely ignore Cowboy Bebop season 2. No one expected showrunner Andre Nemec to deviate so much from the original source. Now, the fans and haters alike are expecting the second season.

Cowboy Bebop Season 2

With the unimpressed fans talking about how they did not like the live-action, Netflix already made up its mind. Popular rating website, Rotten Tomatoes gave 45% whereas the general audience score was 50%. Unfortunately, for the fans who were hoping for a sequel, the streaming platform cancelled the series just after the release of the first season. Till then, have a look at the complex ending of season 1.

Season one ending explained

Unlike the anime series, Spike’s lover Julia plays a huge role in the Cowboy Bebop live-action series. Julia wants to lead the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate, thus making the two men at the top her prime targets. Julia doesn’t show mercy to either her lover or her husband, Spike, and Vicious respectively.

While Spike doesn’t die and nor does Vicious but the latter ends up being Julia’s prisoner. Vicious’s capture is essential to Julia’s plan as she wants to run the Syndicate on his behalf. If in the future the streaming giant plans to change its mind, you can read what can be expected from the sequel.

What to expect from Cowboy Bebop season 2?

After their showdown against Julia and Vicious, cracks have emerged in the friendship of Spike, Jet, and Faye. The trio is in their separate ways. Jet’s concern about his daughter’s safety drives him away, and Faye is on a mission to unearth the truth.

However, the inclusion of Radical Ed in the penultimate episode has changed the dynamics of the show. Radical Ed found Spike in a wasted condition and warned him about the arrival of the “butterfly man”.

Cowboy Bebop season 2 cast

John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, and Daniella Pineda will reprise their roles as Spike, Jet, and Faye, respectively. Alex Hassell and Elena Satine will continue to play the role of antagonists Vicious and Julia, respectively.

Eden Perkins, who played Radical Ed, will have a longer run, and we might get to see new villains like the “butterfly man”.
