The Witcher Season 3 introduced some new characters in the storylines. Volume 2 showed Ciri wandering alone in the desert of Korath. During this journey, she became vulnerable and started having visions and seeing people who are no more in her life, including her mother. She also crossed the path with Falka, who manipulated her into using fire magic while at the end of the season, fans saw the princess of Cintra name herself after her. Now the question that rises here is if the character will embrace her dark side in season 4 and what role would Falka play in it.

The final episode of season 3 depicted the moment when Ciri finally lost her innocent side. Her new name marked the clear distinction between her life as the Lion Cub of Cintra and a Witcher while turning into a potential killer. Though the princess renounced her magic when Falka tried to corrupt her, that rage was evident in her eyes. The spirit of that wicked sorcerer led to the darker side, which was never seen before.

Book fans believe this prophecy child is a descendant of elf sorceress Lara Dorren, who will save the world. However, if one thinks about the events of the past, she could be a descendant of Falka. Considering children of both the characters grew up in prison cells when their adoptive mother lost her mind. Thus nobody knows which descendant is related to Falka.

The books have depicted Falka as a former Redania princess born to King Vridank and Beatrix of Kovir. She was a quarter-elf woman who became obsessed with gaining back her rightful place in Redania. So the princess rallied a rebellion to kill her father and claim the throne. Though she became successful in taking her revenge years later, she got murdered and tied to a burning stake. At that moment, she cursed all the humans that one girl would bear her blood and will end them all in the future.

Now season 4 will explore what path this powerful girl bound to Geralt of Rivia takes when she is all alone. Or whether her family will save everyone from the doom that her rage can bring upon the world. Meanwhile, The Witcher Season 3 is available for streaming on Netflix.
