Why Sarah Ferguson Didn’t Feel “worthy” Of Attending Kate and William’s Nuptials
The world watched as Prince William and Kate Middleton tied their knots together at Westminster Abbey a decade ago in 2011. The Era’s greatest Royal event was graced by worldwide personalities and family members. Although the Royal Family is incomplete without a flair of controversies, for once, everyone at the Palace decided to put their differences aside to bless the newlyweds. Or so said the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson.
The former wife of the Duke of York, Prince Andrew was reportedly not invited to the grand wedding. Although she does not harbor any harsh feelings for the same, Fergie took it quite personally to talk about the wedding snub on a global platform. The Duchess was quite doubtful and uncertain of her position in the institution. Owing to the same, she once had a detailed at-length discussion with a publication a decade ago.

The Duchess of York refrained from commenting on Prince William and Kate
“I didn’t think I was probably worthy to go to their wedding,” said Ferguson to Harper’s Bazaar. Speaking of her position in the administration, the Duchess revealed she had deliberately taken her time out to Thailand to stay away from the Firm. “I could try and heal,” affirmed the Duchess in the interview. Although Fergie was on better terms with the Palace come 2018 during the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, she refrained from making any comments on the other Prince’s marriage.
Nevertheless, as mentioned earlier, she does not harbor any indifference to any member of the Royal Family. In fact, in an interview with People Magazine, the Duchess claimed that Princess Diana would have been proud of her boy. “She’d be so proud of her grandchildren,” she continued further while talking about the family dynamics. Reflecting further about what the former Princess of Wales would have thought, she affirmed, “Diana would have approved of both Duchesses, Meghan and Catherine“.
