But contrary to how the series or movie adapted from the book gobbles up all the praise, Lady Chatterley’s Lover on Netflix brings more attention to the source material. A huge reason behind this is that the movie is in fact not about Lady Chatterley’s Lover but about Lady Chatterley herself.

It is considered to be, even by genius singer Tom Lehrer, one of the best erotic publications ever made that cater to female satisfaction. Before you assume that this is a classic case of fans hyping one erotic scene in a movie that has paid attention to detail to many other important issues, we would like to stop you.

The truth of the matter is that the cinematic masterpiece has put a lot of attention to detail in almost every scene. But the screaming symbolism of how the two overcome class differences is pushed under the rug to favor the more enigmatic s*x scenes.
