Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are happily unmarried. The couple is undoubtedly one of the hottest duos in the industry. And in a place where divorces and breakups are common, the couple has stayed put together for more than a decade, without being married. But what has kept them from the husband and wife tag?
The two first met on the sets of The Place Beyond The Pines in 2011. Their characters even had a kid together. This transpired into real life when Eva, who never planned to have kids, ended up birthing two of Ryan’s children. Mendes gave birth to their first daughter, naming her Esmeralda in 2014, while welcoming their second child, Amada, in 2016. Despite this, the two, on separate occasions, have stated why they may never get married.
Eva Mendes states why she and Ryan Gosling are happily unmarried
Fast and Furious actress Eva Mendes and Notebook star Ryan Gosling have been together for a long time now. The duo even decided to start a family while remaining in a live-in relationship. The legal stamp of Mr. and Mrs. is something they do not wish to have. And their decision to stay that way may be permanent, as the two are still firm in their decision.
Mendes even revealed the reason for never wanting to be someone’s wife. According to a source, the actress once stated, “I actually think it’s really sexy to be with someone in their 50s or 60s and be like ‘that’s my boyfriend.” While the actress respects the idea of marriage, she thinks it is too old-fashioned.
The celebrity is not against the idea of marriage but thinks that the tag of husband and wife is quite unsexy. The Hitch actress thinks one does not need a piece of paper to show love to each other and appreciates people in their 50-60s who remain as girlfriends and boyfriends.
