Who Is the “Gasoline” Enemy-Turned-Ally Chozen Toguchi From the ‘Karate Kid 2’ Joining Daniel LaRusso in ‘Cobra Kai’ Season 5?
Who would have thought that we will be getting Christmas as early as September 2022? Well, as hard as it may seem to believe, that is exactly what is going to happen when Cobra Kai Season 5 arrives on September 9, 2022, on Netflix. A teaser was released where we can see a lot of things happen at the same time. However, fans have caught one moment that has stood out the most, the scene involving Chozen tackling the foul-mouthed Cobra Kai sensei, Silver. But who exactly is Chozen?
Here is everything you need to know about Chozen, the Karate Kid 2 villain, who now is an ally to Daniel LaRusso. And of course, a little about why he called himself “gasoline”.

Well, this is not exactly the breaking news. As we already knew by the end of Cobra Kai Season 4 that Chozen will make a return to the storyline in season 5. However, it will definitely be interesting to see how he does that. We are well aware of the capabilities he possesses, and to see Chozen go up against Terry Silver would be pure delight.
Chozen was an arch-nemesis for Daniel LaRusso ever since the second Karate Kid movie. However, things changed when LaRusso visited Okinawa in Cobra Kai Season. Student and nephew of Sato Toguchi, an owner of a karate dojo in Okinawa, and a skilled fighter who uses Miyagi-do Karate, that is all Chozen is. And now, add to that resume that he is probably going to be a sensei in the new season of Cobra Kai. It all looks amazing when it comes to his storyline.

However, the reason everyone is talking about Chozen is this one line he says in the recent teaser video of Cobra Kai season 5 revealed at the Netflix Is A Joke The Festival. When Silver tells Danny LaRusso that he is playing with fire when he faces him, Chozen steps up like a hero and says, “I am gasoline“. This truly will be enough to shut Silver up for the moment and for us to gasp for air while guffawing.
“so you’re telling me we get to the antagonist of karate kid 2 fight the antagonist of karate kid 3? that’s absolutely amazing…,” wrote a fan, lauding the series for beautifully bringing back old characters to the story.
