But one man, a doctor himself, exploits so many couples with infertility using this procedure. At the present time, all of us are well known of the procedure. But four decades ago, society knew very little about it. And that’s what the doctor took advantage of.

Our Father, the new documentary on Netflix, tells the horrifying tale of dozens of routine fertility procedures gone wrong. At the center of the story is Dr. Donald Cline, who secretly implanted his sperms in his patients and fathered a lot of children for years. This complete fraud was caught when one of his children tried to connect with their half-siblings.

This film will give a chance to the victims to tell their stories and will show how Cline got away with this crime for so long.

It all starts when one person takes a simple DNA test on a website, Ancestry.com, to find out more about her forefathers. Little did she know that her whole life will change for the worse.

In the trailer, Jacoba Ballard, who took the DNA test, says, “Growing up, I felt different.” After she find matches with seven people, she realized something was wrong.

The most disturbing fact is that the doctor got away with his crime for many years. He is a prominent member of society, a business owner, and an elder of the church. Society respects him for his position but without anyone’s knowledge, he destroyed many families.

Where is Dr. Donald Cline now?

Dr. Donald Cline ended up getting charged for his crime for two counts of obstruction of justice in 2017. During the investigation, he accepted his crime but not before misleading the investigators. In Cline’s defense, he tells the court that he was helping the families who could not conceive on their own.
