Ithlinne is one of the key characters in the world of mages and mutants. She was a legendary Elven healer, astrologist, and oracle born with unique powers of divination and prophecies. Time and again, her predictions have always proven to be true, including the Northern Wars and catastrophic plagues. In fact, she is the one who foretold that Elves will once again take over the world through the offspring of Elder Blood.
In the prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin fans got to meet the youthful version of her living in a tavern. It showed her pointing out the inevitable end of the world carried out by the descendant of Eile. “The Lark’s seed shall carry forth the first note of a song that ends all times. And one of her blood shall sing the last,” she said. Though the show did not depict the full extent of her power, her prophecies had a major role in the main series.

In episode 2 of season 2, Francesca, Yennefer, and Fringilla discovered a passageway that led them to the woods. The trio then found the doorless hut, which turned summoned them. During that moment, the Deathless Mother approached the Elf Queen disguised as Ithlinne. She offered her the chance to rebuild the Elven community through the birth of a pure elf and joining forces with Fringilla and Nilfgaard. But it is important to note, in books, that Voleth Meir does not exist and this famous prophet actually visited Francesca in a white robe.
Ithlinne claimed she would be the woman to lead the elves to Dol Blathanna, a kingdom where only elves would exist and rule. In fact, she was the same woman who inspired Emyhr to marry Ciri, stating that their offspring would rule the Continent and thus, the world would not end. The show has clearly shown how her words have impacted the lives of people, changing their entire viewpoint about life and death.
