Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was accused over the alleged shooting of Meghan Thee Stallion. The charges stem from a party hosted in Hollywood Hills on the night of July 12, 2020. The incident instantly made headlines when the rapper revealed that she was shot in her feet by the multiplatinum-selling rapper-singer. The American rapper had to go through an emergency operation to remove the bullet fragments. While the Chixtape 5 singer was arrested for carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

Two years have passed since the incident took place and a lot has happened between these two. Since Lanez defended himself against the allegation that Meg stepped on a broken glass and he did not shoot her. However, the 30-year-old musician was officially charged by LA County District Attorney. Now breaking her silence on the aftermath of the whole gunshot incident Stallion has called out powerful men of the industry during her testimony against Lanez.

Meghan Thee Stallion accuses people of neglecting her traumatic condition

The Meghan-Lanez assault trial started on December 12 when the 27-year-old rapper gave her testimony about Tory Lanez shooting her. Recalling the night of the incident the Grammy winner stated how she was fearful for her life. She revealed she never felt more trivial as nobody cared about her while she was bleeding that night.

Moreover, in her testimony, she opened up about the aftermath and mental trauma she faced because of someone else’s actions. She bluntly accused people in the music industry of taking sides with the Canadian-born singer.

“Not a day goes by without being called a liar. This whole thing is about who I was having sex with, not who shot me, and I don’t know why,” explained the Savage singer.

According to her statement, she was at the peak point of her career when this incident tarnished her image. She mentioned that she even collaborated with the celebrated singer  Beyoncé, who might see her in a different light now as she knows about the trial. Meghan Thee Stallion feels that all her hard work and accomplishments are overshadowed by this thing.
