When ‘The Witcher’s’ Royce Pierreson Revealed What It Is Like to Work With Henry Cavill and Team
In The Witcher, when Henry Cavill put himself in the shoes of the White wolf, the world witnessed the ultimate wonder of the sorcerer’s land. With his larger-than-life dedication and flawless skills, the mastery of his streaming career barged in with authority. Throughout the three seasons, he executed perfectionism in not only skinning Geralt’s depiction but doing the needful to complement his co-actors’ portrayals as well. Especially true for the case of Royce Pierreson, whose depiction of Istredd had a conflicting connection with Geralt.
Speaking about the surreal time working together, Pierreson once spilled the beans about what he loved the most about acting with Cavill and The Witcher team.

Back in 2019, Royce Pierreson appeared in the London premiere of Judy to talk to Scott Davis of Hey U Guys. The then newly found Istredd opened up about his experience of being in a new environment. Pierreson noted that the thing he loves “about acting” is getting to “do so many different things”. Like being “any character at any point at any part of the universe”, his biggest takeaway from The Witcher was the “personal relationships”.
For Pierreson, it does not matter how “big the universe is” or even how “legendary” the character is, what makes one “a great piece” is “personal relationships”. Therefore, as a part of The Witcher, he was genuinely “grateful” and “excited” to be on board. Sitting at the end of three seasons right now, one can easily attest that his gratefulness has initiated the road of his flawless performance and unfettered commitment to the show. As a result, fans worldwide seem more grateful for his casting than he could have ever been.
That being said, Henry Cavill, too, opened up during the same interview about his take on the role of Geralt.

At the moment, the makers are ensuring a smooth transition from Henry Cavill to Liam Hemsworth for the upcoming season of The Witcher. However, when it all began, the world was more than excited to welcome Cavill as the face of Geralt. Similarly, Cavill’s opinion about the depiction was also greatly motivating when he spoke to Scott Davis.
Cavill expressed that his biggest takeaway from trying the shoe of Geralt was that he “loved the character before” he learned “there was a show about it”. As a big “PC gamer” and “fantasy-genre reader”, it was his “dream come true” to play Geralt. Although the world will probably never see him in shining armor, carrying the sword with his swaying gray locks, at least one can always turn back time on Netflix and start a rewatch binge.
