How did Ryan Reynolds raise $25,000 for Make A Wish organization?

As a part of Deadpool promotions in February 2016, Ryan Reynolds paid a visit to The Ellen Show. The host Ellen DeGeneres seemed impressed with the Make A Wish foundation and offered the actor a chance to raise $25,000. Ryan had to stand at the top of the water tank and simultaneously Ellen had to hit the ball at the specific target. If the host managed to pitch the ball at the correct place, the Free Guy actor would get dunked into the tank and win the amount.

Reynolds didn’t think much before giving a go-ahead to the fun activity. After a few attempts, Ellen finally managed to hit the target and the Deadpool star enjoyed a little journey underwater to raise money for a worthy cause

Notably, it was Reynolds’ character in Deadpool, Wade Wilson, who gave him the motivation to contribute to the foundation. Wade had incurable cancer in the movie. Thus, getting inspired by his reel character, the Vancouver-born did some special things for the children diagnosed with cancer. Through the Make A Wish organization, Ryan invited a few special children to the movie set while he also cast them in very short roles in the film.
