The transition from being an American divorcee to becoming a royal member did take a toll on the former actress. However, the trail of sarcastic back and forth between her closest associates and the haters did make it easier for her. One such classic instance would be one of her close friends, Katharine McPhee, at the face of online trollers. 

As reported by Enews, the West Side star once sat for an interview with Good Morning Britain to share some insights about her friendship with the Duchess of Sussex. As the star appeared on the real-life talk show, she could hardly stop gushing about how close she was to Meghan Markle back in the day. Reminiscing the same, she recalled how she once took to her Instagram handle to celebrate their friendship. However, what followed was yet another funny but crude remark about the pair.

“She’s just trying to bank on Meghan’s fame. She just wants to be famous and rich,” wrote a user in the comment section while dishing the royal and her friend. Katharine, for a legit comeback, sarcastically wrote, “Yeah, you’re right. I’ve made so much money off this photo. Give me a break.”

The star initially started talking about how the two former stars happened to be from the same schools together. Although they grew up in their own specific career spheres, McPhee has got something special for Meghan Markle that she would not forget. “It’s a small world after all,” said the star in the News broadcast. Katharine McPhee also revealed how her sister and the now Duchess were of the same age. Hence, that became all the more reason to be friends with Markle.
