When Kanye West Admitted to Getting Liposuction Due to Rob Kardashian’s Treatment in the Media
Kanye West, despite the controversies that he is involved in on a daily, is an idol to many. The rapper has been on the receiving end of many prestigious awards. Not only does Kanye West has a Grammy-winning career in music but he is also ruling the trends in the fashion industry with his billion-dollar brand Yeezy. Juggling two careers is no easy task.
The artist has been making news since 2016, when he was hospitalized following a breakdown. Although it was reported that the breakdown was caused because of his busy schedule. Kanye West revealed that he had an episode where he dealt with low self-esteem and got plastic surgery.

Why did Kanye West get plastic surgery?
A lot went down in the rapper’s life in 2016. In an interview with TMZ Live, he opened up about getting liposuction. For those of you who do not know liposuction is a surgical procedure to remove fat from under the skin through suction. West admitted that he did so because he was afraid of getting bullied publicly for his weight gain. Furthermore, Kanye took notes from the time Rob Kardashian had to sit out of his sister, Kim Kardashian’s wedding because people called him fat.
“I had plastic surgery because I was trying to look good for y’all. I got liposuction, ’cause I didn’t want y’alll to call me fat like you called Rob and made him fly home before me and Kim got married,’‘ said West.

Kanye West succumbed to the pressure of looking good for the cameras and got liposuction. However, what happened after the procedure, played a huge role in leading up to the breakdown. After the procedure, West developed an addiction to pain medicines.

The rapper admitted to taking way more pain meds than prescribed. He said that his bizarre posts on social media were all a result of being drugged. Now well and recovered, Kanye West is strong in his beliefs about many things. One of them is that patients are almost every time over prescribed in order to be controlled. “We are drugged out. We are following other people’s opinions” said West.
