When Henry Cavill Chose ‘The Man from U.N.C.L.E’ Over ‘Man of Steel’ for This Reason
No matter how short his tenure with DC was, Henry Cavill will always remain this generation’s Superman. He has more than often talked about his love for the role and how grateful he was for getting picked to play the iconic character. You would think that the actor will never pick any other movie over his DC solo movie, but the man is full of surprises. Way back in 2015, he took a break from shooting lasers from his eyes to become a cold war era spy in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. And during one of the interviews, he surprised fans when he picked the Guy Ritchie film over the DC movie!
During an interview with ET Online, the British actor confessed that he liked filming the cold war era film more than Man of Steel. It’s because it was way easier for him to get in and out of the costume easily. The costumes didn’t give him any trouble at all. And we all know how uncomfortable skin-tight latex suits are.

“There were definitely difficulties with that particular costume, which I don’t have with this costume,” he confessed. He was also fond of the shooting location, which was London. Since he is mostly away from shooting in America, he enjoyed filming in his homeland. Moreover, the actor admitted to enjoying playing a different character for a change.
The movie was a delightful action comedy set in the 60s. It saw the star of Man of Steel take on a very different role. Fans are eager for a sequel, however, both Guy Ritchie and Cavill are busy with their upcoming film.
