The royals maintained a strict distance from the Sussexes when they stepped down from their royal duties in 2020. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had exited the palace amidst a huge backlash from the public. Since they relocated to California, not a single royal member has paid them a visit, except for Princess Eugenie. 

 In 2022, she joined her cousin for the Super Bowl. While it is not new to spot celebrities at the event, royal experts did not look at her choice of mingling with Harry quite so favorably.

Royal experts disapproved of Eugenie’s closeness with Prince Harry 

Prince Harry graced the Super Bowl event last year along with his cousin, Princess Eugenie, in tow. While their cousins were snapped enjoying the game, the royal experts scorned her for mingling with the estranged Duke of Sussex, wrote Daily Star. Royal expert Duncan Larcombe was of the opinion that the Princess was breaking ranks with the rest of the royal members for getting seen publicly with the Sussexes. 

“Eugenie is breaking ranks from the rest of the royals by being seen so publicly to endorse Harry and Meghan in their new life. No other member of the family would be seen dead anywhere near Harry and Meghan,” he told OK!

Princess Eugenie always had a close bond with her cousin, Harry, since childhood. In fact, she was the first person to ever welcome Markle into the royal family, although the first meeting had an embarrassing end. Given their closeness, it was believed that if things didn’t work out in America, Eugenie was Harry’s only way back to the palace. 

While time will tell if the Sussexes will ever make a return to the Palace, the royal family will soon have a new member with Princess Eugenie’s sophmore pregnancy.

Princess Eugenie is expecting for the second time

The 32-year-old is reportedly embracing motherhood for the second time with her husband Jack Brooksbank. The couple already shares a 2-year-old son, August Philip Hawke. She shared the wonderful news through her Instagram and shared a picture of August kissing her belly, waiting for a younger sibling to arrive.

It is also rumored that the Princess is hoping to follow in the footsteps of her cousin and shift to America. The couple will make her move to the land of dreams following her second delivery.
