Arnold Schwarzenegger made it big in every industry that he stepped into. Not only is he considered one of the greatest bodybuilders in history, but also one of the richest Hollywood actors. And in between all this, The Terminator actor also managed to be the Governor of California. Now it is almost impossible to not get involved in a controversy in two of the above-mentioned fields, and Arnold got involved in a lot.
His smooth-sailing political career definitely resembled the silence before the storm after the revelations were made public. The actor-turned-politician was accused of sexual misconduct by sixteen women when he ran for governor in 2003. What was more shocking is that this falls second to the revelation that Schwarzenegger fathered a house helper’s child. To comprehend that this was not right out of a soap opera revolving around a minister’s wife, but a true story was a tough task for the family, the media, and the onlookers.
Did Arnold Schwarzenegger confess to having a secret child?
After finishing his term as governor, the actor gave a lot of shocking news: From separating from his wife of twenty-five years to confess about a secret child. The fact that these events took place not even a month after each other is another hard pill to digest.
On the 9th of May in 2011, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger announced they were separating. The couple cited it as a mutual decision, and on the 19th of May, news broke out that Arnold Schwarzenegger had fathered a kid with a staff who worked with around twenty years.
Instead of saying that it was a news outlet spewing gossip, as fans expected, the politician confessed. “After leaving the governor’s office, I told my wife about the event, which occurred over a decade ago,” Arnold Schwarzenegger told Los Angeles Times.
Later on, it was revealed that the pregnant housemaid was working in their home when Shriver was pregnant with her fourth child.

Following the confession, Patrick Schwarzenegger, eldest son, tweeted about how much he loves his family. And Maria Shriver, herself, released a written statement in the days following the confession. “I ask for compassion, respect, and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment,” wrote Shriver.
More drama followed Arnold Schwarzenegger, but the family still gathers for events. What do you think of Arnold’s confession?
