Netflix just released another series that fans cannot have enough of. And this time, it marked the return of the Addams family. Leaving behind the pattern of colorful high school series such as Sex Education and Never Have I Ever, Wednesday follows a darker theme. The series follows every Goth girl’s icon, Wednesday Addams, as she tries to settle in or, in her case, not settle into her new school.

Wednesday has managed to find the perfect balance between sadism and comedy to give to us an eight-episode-long series. When Netflix announced the Jenna Ortega project, fans were already hyped. Therefore, it did not come as a shock that Wednesday was #1 on the streaming giant soon after it was released. But after galloping the exciting series in one go, fans are wondering if there is going to be a season 2.

Is Netflix green-lighting Wednesday Season 2?

The Addams family is already loved by many of us, and for the streaming giant to bring back the gothic daughter with top-notch one-liners was an idea beyond amazing. Spoiler alert: She says “I eat scout girls for breakfast” in this series as well. The masterminds behind this horror comedy are Alfred Gough & Miles Millar. The icing on the cake, however, is that Christina Ricci, who has played Wednesday in Addams Family, is also a part of the cast.

Four out of eight episodes of this mystery masterpiece were directed by Tim Burton. From a star-studded cast to a brilliant storyline and enigmatic characters, Wednesday has everything going for itself to be renewed. However, Netflix has yet to make any official announcements.

But the ending of the first season gives plenty of room for yet another brilliant season at Nevermore. After all, Xavier is still to get his answer for whether Wednesday will be attending another semester.

From good reception to the storyline having potential for a new season, all evidence point to a Wednesday Season 2. And until Netflix green lights the project, you can enjoy Wednesday’s one-liners again.
