While Netflix never really falters on star power when it comes to its projects, what is East of Eden all about?
Plot of East of Eden on Netflix
According to Tudum by Netflix, East of Eden is based on Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel of the same name. The series reportedly follows the “multigenerational Trask family saga” explored from the eye of Florence Pugh’s Cathy Ames. Pugh, who was part of the Oscar-winning Oppenheimer, is also an executive producer alongside Zoe Kazan. Moreover, this modern take on the classic immortalizes Kazan’s grandfather, Elia Kazan’s legacy, who directed the 1955 East of Eden film starring James Dean.
