The series follows Adanna, a young pregnant woman, who unwittingly places her unborn twins in the care of a prominent non-governmental organization, but soon finds herself trapped in a clandestine baby farm with sinister intentions. Baby Farm was unveiled with two other African projects, Postcards, and House of Ga’a at an International Women’s Day event, Her Voice, Out Story, in Lagos, Nigeria, earlier this month. The trio, Mo Abudu, Hamisha Daryani Ahuja, and Bolanle Austen-Peters, were brought together as a highlight for the Nigerian film community.

According to a Deadline report, Walter Taylaur and Kayode Kasum co-directed Baby Farm on Netflix. EbonyLife TV boss Mo Abudu executive-produced the show and Darrel Bristow-Bovey served as the writer. Baby Farm stars Oniyinye Odokoro, Rita Dominic, Joseph Benjamin, Langley Kirkwood, Jenny Stead, and Genoveva Ume. Temidayo Makanjuola and Inem King produced the limited series while Heidi Ulys acted as a supervising producer.

Baby Farm was released on Netflix on March 21. And just a week before, Netflix dropped a trailer. The snippet exposes the sinister truth behind a respected Lagos-based NGO, led by the enigmatic and cunning Dr. Oliver Evans and his wife, Sister Barb. Behind their polished facade as British humanitarians, the couple orchestrates a ruthless scheme, manipulating vulnerable women for financial gain.
