Netflix released a spine-chilling documentary based on the mysterious death of a young woman this Wednesday. The movie brought an eye-opening experience for the audience. ‘Girl in the Picture’ instantly made it to the top-ranked crime movies of the streamer in less than a week. The deceitful past of Suzanne Sevakis starts to unravel when her body is found at the side of the road. When she died at the age of 20 only left behind the mysteries of her life. Girl in the Picture is a gut-wrenching story of a young mother 

The movie dive into the past life of Suzanne Sevakis who lived her life under many fake names including Sharon Marshall and Tonya Tadlock. The story begins with Sandi Chipman (Suzanne’s mother) who used to keep her in confinement when she was a young child. And one day Sandi suddenly vanished leaving her in the care of Franklin (Suzanne’s father). Franklin met her mother in 1974 and the couple frequently got married within a month of dating.

However, the twist here is that Franklin also used to spend his life on aliases like Suzanne and when he first met Sandi he called himself Brandon Williams. Sandi had four children but she couldn’t spend much time with them. As she was jailed for fraudulent activities on overdraft accounts. Meanwhile, when she returned home after one month’s sentence Franklin already left taking the children with him.

It is revealed that two of her daughters were left in foster care. But Sandi’s son couldn’t be found until 2019. When Phillip came forward to unframe his birth roots through a DNA test and got to know he is the missing kid. In 1975, Suzanne was the only child kept by her stepfather and she was schooled under the false name of Sharon Marshall just like Franklin. Being a smart student she was offered a scholarship to study aerospace engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. But Franklin denied her studying further as she got pregnant and they moved to Tampa, Florida taking the new identities of Tonya and Clarence.

Suzanne experienced an abusive childhood and exploited youth 

After giving birth to her first child Michael, Suzanne started working at a strip club as a dancer. Later Franklin married her on their way to New Orleans and she gave birth to a baby girl during the travels. Following all these horrible experiences of her life, she started fearing for life. While informed one of her friends at the club that she is planning to escape.

Subsequently, Suzanne was found fatally injured on the road as a car hit her and she died after five days in the hospital. Although Franklin was questioned by the police they couldn’t find any evidence against him and freed him. And this is how Suzanne’s life ended tragically in complete chaos and destruction at the age when normal people go to college.
