Hollywood has incredibly talented women who have made their career shine despite facing many obstacles. Two of those fan-favorite and wildly followed performers include Sadie Sink and Selena Gomez. You know the Dear Zoe star for her cherished role in Stranger Things where she enchanted fans with her deadly portrayal. On the other hand, the American singer was the dream girl of every teen in the early 2000s, since she starred in several teen shows and movies, including Wizards of Waverly Place and Ramona and Beezus. Their beauty and modest nature have always captivated fans. But do you know what Sink and Gomez have in common, besides being drop-dead gorgeous?
Sadie Sink and Selena Gomez have THIS is common
This year’s Emmy nomination has been crushing for many stars and left fans fuming that their favorite celebrities are left out. After the list came out, people lashed out that Sadie Sink and Selena Gomez didn’t receive the nomination they rightfully deserved. The 30-year-old star who starred in the comedy series Only Murders in the Building missed the best actress nomination.
It seemed unfair because Gomez’s co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short both got nomination and she didn’t. Her exclusion in the category was disheartening as her comical performance was a delightful for fans. Moreover, other cast members who didn’t get a place include Sarah Goldberg, Maude Apatow, Juliette Lewis, and Pete Davidson, among others.
Likewise, Stranger Things which got 13 nominations had no place for cast, including Millie Bobby Brown and Sadie Sink. This decision angered fans because Sadie delivered an unmatched, intense performance that shook fans’ souls. The young girl presenting a painful and traumatizing character was something groundbreaking for viewers. As she fearlessly confronted the demon that crushed people to death like some toy in the show, everyone marveled at her talent.
Meanwhile, the other favorite TV shows that didn’t receive nominations include Insecure, The Flight Attendant, The Staircase, The Great, The Morning Show, Maid, Killing Eve, Atlanta, and Under the Banner of Heaven.
