On November 15, 2022, Meghan Markle released the tenth episode of her famous Spotify podcast Archetypes. The episode titled The Audacity of the Activist with Jameela Jamil & Shohreh Aghdashloo saw the former American actress reflecting on the hate received by women who are activists. Meanwhile, it is a well-known fact that Markle’s podcast is peppered with references from her royal past. This episode was no better as she again discussed something for her royal wedding that took place on May 19, 2018. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a grand wedding at the St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, with a lot of influential people from all across the globe in attendance. Apart from the grandeur and glory, the royal wedding became famous for all the drama and speculations that floated in the media before the ceremony. Recently, the Duchess of Sussex reflected on a strong piece of advice that she received from “a very very influential and inspiring woman” days ahead of the lavish occasion.

Meghan Markle was encouraged to continue working for women and girls

During the podcast, Meghan Markle revealed the words of wisdom she received from a well-known personality. The influential woman asked the Sussex royal to never give up on activism and continue working towards the welfare of girls and women. Though Markle spoke about the advice she received, the former actress refused to give any hints about the name of the person due to privacy concerns.

“She said to me, I know that your life is changing, but please don’t give up your activism. Don’t give up because it means so much to women and girls. And I kept doing the work for women and girls because it matters, yes. But also because she encouraged me to do so,” Markle said in the Spotify podcast. 

The Duchess continues to work towards the development of women even after her wedding. It was just a few days back that she and her husband Prince Harry made a charity of $1 million to VING Project via their Archewell Foundation. With the grant, they are hoping to help needy women. They also wish to inspire young girls to become philanthropists in their own lives.
