It is now speculated that from the beginning, the royal couple had no plans of settling down in Britain. Before their move to California, they were contemplating a relocation to Africa. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a special connection with Africa

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feel at home at the African continent. The couple often made trips to Africa during their times as senior royals. Thus, you should not be surprised to know that the royal courtiers were formulating a plan for the Sussexes to essay their duties while building a life on the continent. 

The renowned zoologist and Prince Harry’s close friend, Dame Jane Goodall has revealed that the Prince wanted Archie to grow while running barefoot with the African children. As per the Daily Mail, the Duke’s advisors were working on an efficient plan to help the couple settle in Africa. Sir David Manning, the former British ambassador, was leading the team. 

The idea was to send Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Africa on behalf of the Commonwealth while they could also take up the role of promoting Britain. However, the proposal could not turn into reality, as the former actress and the royal prince decided to make a move to California. 

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a special connection with Africa. It was during their tour to Africa in 2019 that they had openly spoken about the mental pressure of being the royals and the constant scrutiny of the tabloids.
