It even dethroned the deadpan queen from the top, collecting a massive 18.5 million views in its debut week. From visuals to costumes to performances and lifelike CGI, everything was remarkable in a way that words cannot describe. Now fans are losing their minds as the creators reveal details of season 2 after season one’s astounding success.

Producers of One Piece have recently shared with Variety that the script for season 2 is ready. Marty Adelstein shared that the next installment will probably be ready to arrive on the streamer one year from now. However, for this to happen, things should go in the right way, so they can wrap things up quickly. “Somewhere between a year and 18 months, we could be ready for air,” said Tomorrow Studios president Becky Clements.

The only thing that is holding them back now is the ongoing double strike that has shut down the production of many fan-favorite Netflix shows. Also, the streaming giant has not shown a green light for it, but the production house will pick up the topic sometime soon. Considering the first season has already given fantastic results, so it is only a matter of time before fans will hear the news of renewal.
