WATCH: Will Smith Gets Greeted by Boyz II Men on ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’
Long before Will Smith tarnished his well-painted image in Hollywood by slapping someone on the Oscar stage, his head upheld the crown of being one of the most successful actors in all of Hollywood. And although ‘actor’ is the most well-acquainted term with him, he was once one of the most popular rappers as well. Straying away from the generic style of rapping, Smith liked to keep it clean and organic. Which is one of the many reasons his fandom during his time as a musician traveled over when he took up acting.
Smith, who did not have a clue of how things worked in Hollywood, stepped into it with the Andy Borowitz and Susan Borowitz sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Keeping the fact that Smith played an exaggerated version of himself aside, his talent for acting still shined through. Furthermore, the series aired for six years on television and had many star-studded cameos. On this list is the iconic Boyz II Men.

Will Smith was not the only Philadelphian star on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
The NBC sitcom followed Will Smith, a teenager from West Philadelphia whose life changes when he moves in with his rich uncle and aunt in Bel-Air. In real life too, Will Smith was born in Philadelphia. The actor has talked about his Philadelphian roots in countless interviews. Given how hard it must have been to carve his way as someone from a small town, we do not blame him. In the sitcom, Smith’s character would constantly lock horns with the upper-class residents in the area.
Much like he had to fight to make it in the industry. However, he is not the only Philadelphian star in the industry. Boyz II Men, consisting of Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Wanya Morris, is one of the best American bands of all time.
